back to school this morning; work on presentation this afternoon / by Philip Tarlow

7:35 am: we',, be leaving soon fro the school in moffat, where we'll continue to work with the kids on developing their projects. we won't get back till about 1 or 2, which is too late to start painting, so i may take my walk up the trail, which is overdue.

3:43 PM: so i didn't go up the trail; the weather is iffy, with threatening clouds that could mean thunderstorms, and you don't want to be caught an hour up the trail when there's lightning.

Our morning at the school went extremely well. the kids are far ahead of the kids in other schools we've worked with in the development of their projects, all of which are compelling. i shot video of the entire process, which i'll edit and will become part of the story we'll be able to tell at the end of the school year, tracking the conception and development of their projects.

every time we visit the school, i photograph my favorite painting of the ones that have been hung in the main corridor. the theme this time was the snake wound around a tree. out of a total of 25-30 images, this one jumped out. what do you think?
