3:56 pm: end of my painting day:
1:30 pm: at work on parade 48: current state, still painting. (new figures on the left.) a series of thunderstorms have rolled in, right on schedule, making it far to dark to paint any longer. besides, i need to transition now to my actionlab curriculum corrections so that i can stay on schedule and complete 2 chapters a day.
Parade 48 at the end of my painting day, 3:30 pm
parade 48 56x68" oil on portrait linen as it looked before resuming work today
11:27 am: any time away from crestone, even a day & a half, requires a level of reorganization to get back into my groove. not so for mikela, who has been at work on the actionlab curriculum since 7 am.
found my new macbook air waiting for me when we returned. it had just been dropped off by UPS, and is already making my life so much easier, with it's larger 13" screen and what seems to me like a huge internal memory of 256 GB. and it is, when you compare it to the totally insufficient 64GB i had on my previous air.
we met with our IT team, who are still on track to have the early stage version of actionlab ready to test in the schools september 1st. that will be an exciting day! then we had a great early dinner at HAPA in downtown denver.
the opening at space gallery, which now represents my work exclusively in denver, was absolutely wonderful. i got to know some of the space artists, experience their work and talk with a few of them. as well, i dropped off a couple of smaller abstract collages to compliment the larger works mike already has in the gallery.
and now, back to parade 48. updated pics later this afternoon.
