this morning we went to the denver botanical gardens with our friend erin & daughter isla. the chihuly outdoor exhibition was excellent, & i made a few drawings, one of which is below. i loved the pieces that were placed in ponds & reflected in the water. there were lots of kids, from stroller age up, who were obviously delighting in the well designed spaces, paths, tunnels, bridges, and so on. chihuly added a LOT, and it's unfortunate the evening tickets are gone; seeing them lit would be a treat.
tonight is the mothersbaugh opening; i'll post photos either later tonight or tomorrow a.m. i'm taking my larger camera, with the thought that i'll find an opportunity to shoot the event from above, as raw material for my best left unsaid series.
