which already had the rich, suggestive surface texture characteristic of susan watt's pieces & their journey through fire.following a comment by mikela, who visited me earlier in the day, i decided to experiment with attaching cutout pieces of paper to the surface of the ceramic piece, reminiscent of what i've been doing with the new paintings. i'll re-evaluate tomorrow morning ....
