today marks the first day since our return from houston last friday that i'm back to work in my studio. this piece was made by my friend and partner in ceramics, susan watt in houston. we brought it back with us in september 2012 and since then it has been sitting by some cactus plants next to our front door.
so it was with some trepidation that i began work on this piece this morning, painting with acrylic paints on the beautiful surface susan has created and which we have come to know and love.
i'll see tomorrow morning whether it needs more work.
